The LeGaux family has been crafting decoys since the early 60's when, brothers, Roy Sr. and Ralph began making their hunting rigs. Both have been featured in several books and magazines throughout their careers. Ralph is deceased, but Roy Sr. is continuing to produce decoys and wood carvings today.
Roy Sr. carved with many well known carvers from Louisiana, but most notably his college professor Mike Frady. Roy also taught numerous carving classes and is credited with influencing many Louisiana artists, he was also one of the pioneers in forming the Louisiana Carvers and Collectors Guild.
Roy Sr. has since passed on the family tradition to his two sons, Roy Jr. and Jason. The newest LeGaux brothers. Both are currently crafting working decoys, as well as mantle carvings. Both have been carving since 1998 and ever since they have been hunting over hand crafted LeGaux decoys.
Is to provide you with the highest quality carvings, wether they are for the water or the mantle. High quality at a fair price and the LeGaux guarantee is "if you are not happy, pay the return shipping and your money will be returned..no questions asked." (reasonable amount of time of course)
